Our Work!

The primary purpose of KGSF is to improve the future job prospects of Mt. Kilimanjaro guides by soliciting, receiving, and administering funds for providing scholarships to prospective candidates. The generation of funds is achieved by direct solicitation of donations from previous and future visitors to Tanzania.

As of February 2010, we have awarded two scholarships in calendar year 2009 and three scholarships in calendar year 2010.  In calendar year 2009, the two scholarships totaled $1975; total expenses were $318.24.  For more detail, please refer to the finances page.
